This a Parish based organisation which serves the spiritual and practical needs of the community. It is an organised voice for women of all ages and is concerned with women, family, social justice, human rights and bio-ethics. Catholic Women’s League is the only officially recognised national Catholic lay women’s organisation in Australia and operates at parish, diocesan, state and national levels. It was founded in England in 1905 and established in Australia in 1913, coming to Western Australia in 1936. The Busselton branch has being going strong since in 1971 and currently boasts the largest membership of all branches in WA. There is a great spirit of enthusiasm and strength in the meeting and greeting of members far and wide and the sense of being productive and active members in our church and community - our faith being the strength and life of the League.

Faith Formation Life
People were precious in Jesus’ time. He had time for everyone so the Catholic Women’s League makes no apologies for:
Sharing in friendship over cups of tea or coffee.
Those friendly gestures that make a newcomer feel welcome
The knitting sessions to provide baby clothes to mothers in need
The social activities and gatherings which bring us together as a loving family
The occasional fundraiser to enable us to support causes such as Pregnancy Assistance, Linda’s House of Hope and a scholarship to MacKillop Catholic College.
