THE ART OF LISTENING

The French Salesian Sister, recently appointed by Pope Francis into the Dicastery for Bishops, told Vida Nueva, (a Spanish publication reporting news about the Church), that “the ideal bishop does not exist.” Sr Yvonne Reungoat said, “That is why I think that to be a bishop, one must have the ability to listen, both to those who have the same ideas and to those who protest.” (Thursday’s CathNews) It’s true, isn’t it? Not just for Bishops, but for ourselves too.
