WHEELCHAIR REQUEST

Many thanks to the two families who have each offered a transit wheelchair. (There had been a couple of incidences recently where someone has collapsed/fainted during the Sunday Mass in Our Lady of the Bay Church and a concerned parishioner suggested that having a wheelchair on standby might be a helpful resource.) We now have one for each church. Hopefully they won’t be needed, but it is wonderful they will be in position should they need to be. Please keep in mind that moving an injured person can cause additional injury and pain and may complicate his or her recovery. (Remember when a parishioner fell in the NKC, was put in a wheelchair and it later turned out she had broken her hip? Careful consideration needs to be undertaken in each case.) However these wheelchairs will be just what is needed to transport someone feeling shaky to a car. Thank you once again to our donators!
