The mission of the Parish Pastoral Council, in cooperation with the priest, is to see to it that every avenue is opened for all members of the parish to:
Discover their call as disciples of Christ;
Develop the confidence and skills they need to carry out their mission.
Find in the Parish, the structures they will need for their ongoing support and growth;
Review regularly individual and parish goals and strategies so that everyone will have a sense of proceeding purposefully and effectively towards the bringing about of God's reign.
Ideally, members of the Pastoral Council are representative of the whole parish community. Each member aims to take a community view of issues and not an individual or group perspective. All parishioners are potential members. In fact the Parish benefits when there is a great diversity in age, gender and ethnic origin of our members. If you feel you may be called in furthering the work of our Parish Pastoral Council or you would like to recommend someone, please talk to Fr Jaybee or phone / email the Parish Office.
The Parish Pastoral Council’s first meeting for the year will be on Wednesday, 12 February. They meet every second Wednesday of the month at 7pm. But please don’t let the time and day affect your decision. All things are possible.
