CANONICAL VISITATION

From Friday to Sunday, the Parish welcomes Bishop Gerard who comes, to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation with our children, and as part of his canonical visits throughout the Diocese. A canonical visit usually has a two-fold purpose. It allows the Bishop to see and get a feel of the life of our Parish and it allows a chance for greater communication. Both our Parish Pastoral Council and Parish Finance Committee have prepared and answered questionnaires, and will meet with the Bishop on Sunday for further discussion. In short, it is one of the most important responsibilities of the Bishop to keep a keen eye on the spiritual health and well-being of the various parishes, schools and priests in the Diocese.
