Lent is a season of repentance, conversion and penance, which means if there is ever a time people really like to go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation it’s during Lent. It’s a great help with our spiritual preparation for Easter. The Parish Sacrament of Reconciliation, will be celebrated on Monday, 3 April @ 7pm in St. Joseph’s Church. In ‘Form Two’ of this sacrament we participate in the examination of conscience together as a community. We then make our confession and receive our penance and absolution one-on-one with either Fr Jaybee, Fr Marcelo or Fr Concord. Don’t worry if you haven’t been for a long time or have forgotten what to do. The Fathers will gently lead you through the steps involved. Remember, this is a sacrament of healing. Reconciliation is also available on Fridays, and Saturday & Sunday evenings before Mass. Other times may be booked through the office. ‘Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord’ Acts 3:19
