This is the Second Rite of Reconciliation**; a communal form of confession within a liturgy. The liturgy includes a Liturgy of the Word, a homily from the priest, a communal examination of conscience, and individual confessions with absolution.
(**The First Rite is celebrated (here in Busselton) by an individual person in the presence of the priest in the Confessional Room prior to the Friday Mass and the Saturday/Sunday evening Masses or by prior arrangement. The Third Rite of Reconciliation is reserved for moments of emergency where extraordinary grave danger is imminent.)
