During this Sunday’s 9am Mass, the staff and leadership teams from St Mary MacKillop College, will be commissioned. What does that mean exactly? Well, a good Catholic school (such as SMMC) nurtures not only our parish children’s intellectual formation but also their spiritual and religious formation. They promise to serve the needs of the students in their care and witness to the teachings of Jesus. It is here they make their commitment. We, the parish, can support them by accepting their kind invitation to stay for morning tea after the Mass and by keeping the school community in our prayers.
