A group of Year 10 students are fundraising to support World Vision as they work to combat hunger, by signing up to do the 40-hour Famine this month. Jasper Brennan is driving the campaign this year, having raised more than $600 so far, but he's also been busy convincing classmates to join him in going without food for forty hours over a weekend - no mean feat for these growing boys! "It will definitely be a challenge - I expect it might be quite tiring, and affect my mood." Yet he feels this cause is important because it raises awareness for those who constantly struggle to have enough food to eat. "It gives us a better understanding of what they might experience in their daily lives." The group are aiming to raise at least $1,000 between them before the end of August. You can help Jasper and his friends to smash this target by donating to World Vision via the College's group page. Jasper also encourages other students looking for Christian Service hours to think outside the box: "Do something you enjoy, or something that will challenge you."
