WE GIVE THANKS

And gratitude to, Frank Norton and Michael Tonks, our retiring Parish Pastoral Council members who have helped steer the Pastoral work of the Parish in the last few years. It is with gratefulness we welcome two of our parishioners,Alexandra Lewis and Mona Damnjanovic, who have stepped up and into their newly acquired roles on the Council. Alexandra is one of our greeters at Our Lady of the Bay, and Mona one of our Lectors and laptop operators. The Parish Pastoral Council meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm in Our Lady of the Bay. Their role description reads: ‘..... promote the Church’s mission to live and communicate the love, values and teaching of Christ in our world. The Council shares in the responsibility for the ongoing life and development of the faith community, working together with parishioners to provide support for their efforts to live as followers of Christ’. Pope Francis said last week, “It is time for pastors and laypeople to walk together, in every area of the Church’s life, in every part of the world. The lay faithful are not ‘guests’ in the Church, they are at home, so they are called to take care of their own home”
