Every 25 years the church celebrates a Jubilee year. It is a sacred time of pilgrimage, prayer, repentance, and acts of mercy. The next Jubilee Year will be in 2025, and Pope Francis has invited us to spend some time over the next two years in preparation for the Jubilee. 2023 is dedicated to a renewed look at Vatican 2 and 2024 will focus on prayer. The Diocesan Summer School will explore the event of Vatican 2 and some of its core teachings. These teachings are the basis for the ongoing life and mission of the Church into the future.
