The new handbook stipulates that a Catholic Parish must have at least two SGOs where possible, and if there is only one SGO the SGO should be female. We are very lucky to have Tim Murphy as a Safeguarding Officer. However, this does mean we must actively seek nominations for a female SGO. There will be SGO training on Saturday, 26 March in Perth, online training scheduled for 5 April and another face-to-face training scheduled for 11 June in Perth. Please if you are a female, consider if this is how you can be pro-active to help make our Parish truly child safe. Every child, young person or adult at risk has a right to feel safe and be safe. You would be the person that others would contact if they had concerns regarding forms of abuse or people at significant risk. Please see Father or Tim - we need you.
