Social Justice Sunday is a call to live out our Christian values every day. It encourages us all to be compassionate. An act of kindness can go a long way in transforming a person's life. This year’s Social Justice Statement, ‘Signs of Hope on the Edge: Serving People Living in Homelessness and Mental Ill-Health’, provides a picture of what life is like for people living in homelessness and mental ill-health and the difficulty in providing adequate support for them. Archbishop Timothy Costelloe urges Christians to turn towards those on the margins, listen to their stories, and offer friendship.

Go to: www.socialjustice.catholic.org.au to download the statement. These declarations are issued with the hopes of provoking thought and action throughout the year.
