Catechism of the Catholic Church 1424: It is called the sacrament of forgiveness, since by the priest’s sacramental absolution God grants the penitent “pardon and peace.” We say this each time we pray the Our Father. “Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;” Please see the schedule for Reconciliation under ’Parish Masses and Devotions’. Personal Reflection: Why does God want us to forgive others?
