We are launching our parish mission statement that has been formulated by our Parish Pastoral Council that is now in the cover page of our new parish bulletin. Vision: Growing in faith, inclusivity & outreach through openness. Mission: To be a welcoming & loving community; journeying together; proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through words & deeds; nourished by the Holy Eucharist; discipleship is formed for the service of all.

Facilitator’s Training for Parish Synodal Team
We are grateful to the following parishioners who agreed to be our Parish Synodal Facilitators: Josephine Cammilleri, Gay Cooper and Mona Damnjanovic The training and workshop will be on 23rd May, Saturday at OLB Hall from 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. Neighbouring parishes will be sending their delegates to join the training.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL – 160 Years in WA
The St Vincent de Paul Society in WA is celebrating its 160th Anniversary – for the SW region a special Mass will be offered in Busselton on Saturday 16 May at 11am in Our Lady of the Bay church with Bishop George as the main celebrant. Members from throughout the Bunbury Diocese will be joined by the SVdPWA State President and members travelling from Perth and beyond. Our Bunbury Diocesan choir will lead the singing of the Mass. Retiring Collection for Fr Nathan
There will be a retiring collection after mass for our departing gift to Fr. Nathan. On 17th May after mass, there will be a morning tea to celebrate Fr. Nathan’s anniversary and to bid him farewell. Please bring a plate to share and all are welcome.

Remembering Sr Irene
The annual remembrance of Sr Irene McCormack will be held on Thursday 21 May at The Spirituality Hub at Holy Family Catholic Church, Kirup. Since 2021, an event has been held in the Bunbury Diocese to recall the life and legacy of this West Australian Josephite Sister, Irene, who was shot and killed by Shining Path terrorists in Huasahuasi, Peru on 21 May 1991. St Mary Mackillop Morning Tea - Year 8 Students
The Year 8 Students at St Mary Mackillop College will be hosting a Morning Tea on the 24th of April, in the school gym at 9:30am. The morning tea will be a celebration of our year 8s creations as part of an Activity Week with the theme of Community. Respecful Preparation: Arriving early and remaining quiet before the mass starts allows everyone to transit from the noise of daily life into an encounter with God. Shared silence unites the congregation in a collective pause, preventing the church from becoming a social hall or distracting environment. Let us observe silence and spend time in prayer preparation as we celebrate the Holy Mass.

Catenian Koffee Klub
